Let's talk about some of the builders in the BG community - Today, meet Daniel!
Daniel
Daniel is a software engineer based in Singapore who fell down the rabbit hole of crypto in 2021. Although he had heard of Bitcoin before, it was when he started playing with dexes and NFTs onchain that it clicked for him as a developer. He was fascinated by the concept of immutable smart contracts and began learning Solidity in his free time.
One day, Daniel responded to a tweet by Austin Griffith, and they ended up discussing going full-time in web3. Daniel started doing the SpeedRunEthereum challenges, left his old job, and joined BuidlGuidl, where he worked on small projects and wrote about his experiences on BowTieFridays. He was particularly impressed by the idea of streaming ETH to builders.
Daniel's first projects were a commit reveal Rock Paper Scissors on-chain game built with scaffold-eth and a dynamic fully on-chain SVG NFT. His biggest project was creating Scaffold Wallet, an open-source, forkable React Native wallet based on Austin's browser-based PunkWallet.
With this impressive portfolio of open-source development work, Daniel ended up getting a job at Messari, where he has been working for about a year!
